We recently had the opportunity to work with Mr. David Hunsucker, Owner and Chief Pilot of The Drone Co. – RVA. We had reached out to David for his assistance with a community project designed to introduce youth to drones. David worked with us over the course of a couple of months. In one of the spring windstorms in Nelson County, Virginia, I had significant roof/shingle damage. It is a Cape Cod house with a large roof area which is "unavailable" to sight from the ground. David and his family, who are friends of mine, came up the next week. I asked him to take drone photos of the high and front/back/side roof to determine the damage. The insurance adjuster came, looked at everything from the ground - no ladders, no areal views of the roof, and gave us a ridiculous estimate using "salvageable" shingles. I presented David's drone photos of the whole roof to my insurance agent / company, and they agreed with David's photos, and paid the whole claim, which was double the original insurance adjusters estimate. The value of DRONE photos can and WILL save you money on insurance claims. Adjusters do not climb ladders to look at real roof damage, attic fire damage, etc. Trust David and his drones to get the job done
