In a word, Andrew is fantastic! My wife and I hired Andrew to be our wedding photographer. From our initial conversation, Andrew put us at ease, was very professional and had lots of great and inventive ideas.

Andrew was great at communicating with us on the run-up to the wedding and agreeing a plan on what photos we wanted, who we wanted in our photos and when we wanted to take the photos (within the limits created by our plan for the day and the venue).

We opted for a pre-wedding photo shoot, which I would highly recommend if (like my wife and me) you are not a natural in front of the camera. Again, Andrew put us at ease and talked through how to set up for the photos and look more at ease in the staged photos. It was a great practice for the big day.

We had hired a videographer for the wedding as well. Andrew was great at co-ordinating with the videographer in the run up to the wedding as well.

On the day itself Andrew was brilliant. He turned up on time and kept to the schedule, and was so good at moving around and getting the candid photos that I genuinely did not realise he was getting so many of the wonderful shots we ended up with! He was very polite and professional when it came to directing guests for the staged shots and he worked really well with the videographer as well - to the extent that in the evening, when the daylight was fading, Andrew was able to get the videographer to help him with lighting the shots to get some really cool and unique photos in the twilight!

The photos were absolutely incredible and really captured what we wanted from our wedding day. It gave us lots of perspectives we wouldn't have been able to enjoy and the creativity and passion that Andrew has for photography really shines through in the photos.

We opted for the wedding album as part of our package. Again, Andrew took the time to come and talk through our options, what might work well for our preferences and what might not. He helped us to reach a decision that was ours which was much appreciated as there are so many options to choose from when designing the wedding album!

The wedding album is such a beautiful item and the quality is clear to see. The pictures are so vibrant and we could not be happier with it. We would definitely go with Andrew again for any photo sessions in the future.

Andrew was brilliant from the first email to hand delivering our completed wedding album. He is a true professional which comes through in the photos he takes. My husband and I are a little camera shy but Andrew put us at ease from the beginning and our pre-wedding photoshoot helped us massively for preparing for the big day. On the day itself, he was punctual and professional and was great at herding the guests! We had lots of different weather on the day from sunshine to clouds to mist, fog and rain and through it all Andrew captured some beautiful shots. Our wedding album is stunning and so unique, we can’t wait to show our friends and family.

The first image I obtained from Andrew wasn't after my wedding but before it. The picture of our big day was conjured up by Andrew's description of our wedding day unfolding through a lens you simply can't buy in the shops. He is calm, knowledgeable and experienced as well as extremely professional. He spent time before our day explaining what would happen and the significant moments that we may want to have captured. We are utterly grateful to Andrew for the stunning photos of our day. We have beautiful pictures of the whole wedding party and more. My husband and I are entirely delighted with the images of our shared moments on our wedding day. We hired Andrew to do our wedding photography at Gilmerton House in May of this year. As we live in London, we had very few recommendations for photographers in the East Lothian area and found him by doing a search online.

We were hesitant to use a photographer with no personal recommendations for something so important, but Andrew was very swift at responding to my enquiries and on my next trip to Scotland, made the effort to meet with me in person.

On meeting Andrew and reviewing the photo albums he had created for previous weddings it was clear that he would be able to provide what we were looking for on our wedding day. Andrew was a delight to work with. He kept in regular contact with me leading up to the wedding to ensure that he was aware of any particular photographs I wanted and on the actual day, he was considerate, accommodating and very patient with us - particularly for the group photos which took a bit of ‘herding’. He made us and our guests feel comfortable (especially the groom who is camera shy) and his manner was very unobtrusive. This suited us well as we had a small wedding (25 people) and he fit in perfectly.

We were aiming for a relaxed and intimate day and felt that Andrew caught it all through a selection of candid and traditional shots. He also got some photos of the venue, including some of the finer details without being prompted for which we are particularly grateful as we did not have the time to fully appreciate them on the day.

We would happily recommend Andrew and we are grateful to him for providing a wonderful service and capturing some of our most treasured memories on camera.

From the first contact with Andrew, we knew we had picked the perfect photographer to capture the special moments of our wedding day. From the start, he was helpful, responsive and professional in ensuring the day would go ahead perfectly. Andrew wanted to make the effort to meet us and get to know us before the wedding so he knew exactly what type of photos we would want and if we had any special requests.
