Kayla was the perfect person to partner with for my surprise proposal in Mammoth in February!

From the get go, she made the process extremely easy. I knew I wanted to propose on the slopes of Mammoth, but not much beyond that - Kayla did a great job of filling in those gaps. She gave me a thorough list of potential spots all over the mountain - she can ski, so as long as you can ride there, it's an option! She went up there and took pictures/videos to give me a sense of what it would look like. The spot we ended up going with was somewhere I had never been before and she gave great directions on how to get there.

In anticipation of the day, Kayla had prepped me with great tips and queues to ensure it remained a surprise - and as a result I could not be happier with how the proposal went! The day was a dream - my Fiancé and I had never taken professional pictures before, so we were nervous, but Kayla made us feel so comfortable. Nothing felt forced or scripted - she gave us queues that kept it light, natural, and fun. As an added bonus, Kayla's partner Patrick was there and kept my fiancé's hands warm in between shots (it was freezing up there!) After the shoot we grabbed a drink with Kayla and Patrick and they are great people to hang with - so easy to talk to and fun to be around!

The photos are amazing! We are in love with them and everyone we have shown them to has been so impressed with the quality. It is a couple months later now and having just gone through them again, it felt like I was transported back to that moment.

We absolutely LOVED Kayla! Every time we talk about our proposal - Kayla and her work come up as a highlight of the day. We are so grateful and could not recommend her more!

We had a unique wedding venue (middle of the forest) and she found beautiful spots for all our pictures! Kayla is an absolute GEM! I loved that Kayla wanted to talk on the phone with us first to make sure we were a good fit before committing to her photography. The first moment my husband and I talked to Kayla, we knew we were a good fit with her. We instantly connected Kayla with her beaming personality and felt comfortable talking with her. Kayla helped us pick out wedding ceremony location in the most perfect place. She took the time to get to know my husband and I to help make our day truly special. The amount of time she put in by researching locations, putting together a timeline, coming up with potential back up plans, hiking into the destination prior to the ceremony, just shows up much Kayla cares about making our day to be the most perfect day that we would never forget. She captured all of our intimate moments together in the most beautiful places imaginable. We hiked into our destination to have our ceremony with a smaller guest list. She was so patient and organized to make sure everything flowed nicely and according to our timeline. We also just had so much fun with her! She made my husband and I feel comfortable and completely ourselves during the time she was with us. Our wedding day came out to be the most perfect day imaginable, and Kayla helped to make this happen for us 🙂 It wasn't even one week after our wedding that she sent us our sneak peek photos. And I must brag, the pictures of us and the scenery came out absolutely stunning!!! I would highly recommend Kayla to anyone who plans to elope, small mountain wedding ceremony or any type of wedding in an awesome destination. She is more than five stars!

Kayla is the absolute best! As a filmmaker, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and know a good frame when I see one and WOW did Kayla deliver. I was proposing to my girlfriend in Mammoth and when I reached out to Kayla she instantly impressed me. Before even locking down the job, she spent thirty minutes on the phone with me asking about our relationship, us as people, and my plan. On the day of the surprise, she was wicked stealthy and helped ensure the surprise was maintained. We spent an hour taking photos and I was genuinely happy she was there to share the special moment with us. She made us feel confident, cool, and comfortable as she snapped these authentic and deeply intimate photos of us that we will cherish for decades to come. 11/10, she's the best. Work with her.
