I knew he was inexperienced doing the surgery I needed but I chose to use Dr.Patton out of convenience. Big mistake. My concerns about anesthesia were completely dismissed until literally minutes before surgery. I was told “2 weeks downtime” by Dr.Patton but every piece of literature given to me from his office said 12 weeks. I was in no shape to go back to work at 2 weeks. After surgery I was barely given 3 days of pain meds despite having 200+ stitches, then was made to feel drug seeking when I asked for more. The infections after surgery have never gone away. Every problem I had before is either the same or worse. I was told there was a chance of right side pain after surgery. It’s so bad I can’t sit and my entire right leg goes numb mixed in with what I guess is nerve pain down to my heel. He offered to “un-do” the surgery but I canceled because two wrongs don’t make a right. I’m looking for a more experienced surgeon to help me but it’s nearly a year before I can get in to see someone else. I was going to wait 6 months before writing a review but I hope I can prevent someone else from making the same mistake I did. My surgery was 5 months ago and my quality of life is poor. I’m having a hard time driving and working due to the nerve damage. I am worse off than before. I should have listened to my gut instead of taking the convenient route. All I wanted to do was play tennis and now I can’t walk without pain.

* Sorry this will be a long one *

This was my first visit to this doctor. I was referred to him by my PCP for overactive bladder issues after I had already been on two different meds that weren't helping. I will be honest, I was a little nervous about seeing Dr. Patton because I always do a little research on any new doctor I'm sent to and he really didn't have very good reviews. They were mostly negative comments about how he only wants to treat patients that are onboard for surgery. If you weren't interested in having surgery for your condition then he would become rude and dismissive. I was sent all my new patient paperwork about a week or so before my appointment and they reached out several times with reminders of my appointment, which I really liked ( I am very forgetful), I showed up for my scheduled appointment and the receptionist at the desk was very polite and had me checked in very quickly. I was actually called back to see the doctor right at the time the appointment was scheduled for (which almost NEVER happens anymore), the nurse was so friendly and pleasant. Dr. Patton came in just a minute or two after the nurse left and was very welcoming and pleasant himself. He sat there and talked to me for a while, going over my records from my PCP and all the symptoms I have been having with this issue for the past couple of years. Then he explained what all he wanted to do, such as UA samples and sonogram to see if my bladder was emptying all the way. He told me I had 3 options, I could try different meds (which he really didn't want to do since I had already tried a couple different ones), I could get Botox injections, or I could get a nerve stimulator implanted in my back. He explained each option in detail, the risks, side effects, and benefits. When I opted for the Botox treatments he was completely on board and never became rude or anything. I did the UA and the sono and was given more information on the condition and procedure. The nurse was so helpful getting my next appointment scheduled. All I had to do was tell her what time I preferred and what days would work best for me and a couple of hours after my appointment she was calling me with the next appointment. I think, In my opinion of Dr. Patton, he was very nice, very pleasant, had a great bedside manner, was through with his explanations of procedures and answering questions. I would definitely recommend him.

Nice facility, friendly staff. Doctor not very helpful when he said he didn’t know what he could do besides give me a medication that he said probably wouldn’t work. He just said , good luck. I had to ask him where I should go and who he would recommend from this point. He had nothing to say. Extremely disappointed. Waited weeks for the appointment, and traveled for nothing.
Never going back.

Was referred to Dr. Patton for bladder sling surgery. He is super kind, caring and knowledgeable. I heard multiple times that he's "the guy" do do the procedure. He also has fantastic bedside manner which is so amazing! Super happy so far with my healing process. Thank you Dr. Patton for helping me. I appreciate you and your staff so much!
