I had the true joy to have my photo taken by Barbara Anne Photography as one of the nominees for the WIN Awards. Having my photo taken is something I usually do not enjoy. Barbara Anne made this experience amazing. The photos she captured were incredibly beautiful. I loved the photos so much I purchased three additional photos. I have no words to express how amazing and such a powerhouse Barbara Anne is as a community member! I have never gotten my photo done before so I was a bit nervous, but Barbara was so welcoming and made me feel comfortable.
I felt like a winner already having my portrait done in addition being nominated for a Women of Influence Nanaimo.

As a makeup artist, I am pretty comfortable BEHIND the camera, but not in front of it. I was pretty nervous going into my branding photoshoot with Barbara, but she made the whole experience so amazing. She was easily able to direct me how to pose, and even got me laughing to relax me and grab some fantastic shots. I’m absolutely thrilled with all of my photos, and I did not think that was possible! I’m definitely going to invest in myself more, and make these photoshoots a top priority for the future!

This was the most lovely experience for me. I had recently shaved my head for health reasons and I was not feeling feminine in my appearance having had hair all my life. I really wanted this session to show me what others are seeing in me and Barbara surpassed anything I could imagine what I looked like. This shot captured my beauty and my soul. Barbara Anne does an amazing job making you feel comfortable and beautiful!! Definitely steps me out of my comfort zone in a good way. The heart she puts into making you feel special and giving back to the community by her support of the Women of Influence nominees.
