American Drone Industries provided personalized training and I would highly recommend them. I took group classes before the pandemic and forgot most of what I’d learned. The group class was an all day class for beginners. The actual fly time was only 5 to 10 minutes flying for each person. It was only part of the curriculum. Most everything was learned indoors in a classroom using someone else’s drone.
The materials I took home were helpful. Group class is going to be different than a one on one class.
From American Drone I wanted more individual time to learn more skills flying / understanding how the drone operated.
The 2 days of class, 2 hours each day, with American Drone Industries was perfect for this. I had plenty of time each day to accomplish what I wanted. It was all flying, learning photography, learning how to operate the drone to get the shots you wanted. Then there was another category of flying which was acquiring the confidence to send the drone out, high above, then bring it down to multiple targets, and bring it safely back home to base. There was lots of time to practice controlling my drone. Lessons were very clear and had a set agenda of things needed to be a good drone operator.
Lastly there was training with the controller. Understanding the screens. Looking at how much battery life I had left on screen. Bringing the drone back safely in time. Much focus was on safety for the drone and the public.
Sorry this is so long, I should edit myself but I must say I was not expecting a lot and much more was delivered. I started feeling sad when I only had half an hour or so left of class. I didn’t want to stop learning.
