I just want to write a review about the Gentleman who runs this store. As I see all these people saying he is racist .. I am tired of reading this as he is not racist in the least . So tired of hearing people slander someone they don’t know.. tired of the racist cry he is a decent man and has helped many people.. the only thing about this store that made me give a 4 star instead of a 5 is they are closed on Sat ..

This place has been here for years!!!! And to think I have never been inside. I needed to find a local printing place quick, to print photos for my stepmothers birthday gift. The gentleman who was working, helped me figure out the printing situation, as I was abit in awe that I have never stopped in here before for any kind of printing, it was quick, easy with friendly staff. And the prices are perfect! Got what I needed done in no time. Highly recommended this place for all your printing needs. Way less complicated then staples or any other such place. Support your local businesses

Very disappointed with this guy I went this morning. I have gone there few times. Never happen. He doesn’t smile. Look like he really didn’t want to do this inking job. I shouldn’t have to clean this cartridges. First time I have to do this Will not go back

Came in to get my passport photos done. I had them done properly within 15 minutes!
Always support local! They came through better than other passport photo places.

I went this place to take passport photos it's reasonably priced , but unfortunately even low price of this store won't make me their customer I will never go back there, the old man who run that store its miserable rude and unkind I have ask about particular photo service and he said no we don't do that, now after I have checked the website I see they do offer that particular service, but wait why he said no? He has a problem that's for sure he seems like does not want do his job but I mean just retire much better.

We just moved to Caledonia and did not know where else to go, to get passport photos done. I walked in to Foto Source on Argyle with my 2 kids. A (white)man with 2 young boys were already in the store...waiting. The owner was in the back finishing up this fellows request. He walks towards me and harshly asks "Can I help you"?! Seemingly bothered.
I said: I just need passport photos for these 2, and pointed at my kids.
His reply as he turned and walked away "well, you just have to wait"! (Unnecessarily abrupt and angry)
My daughter instantly turned to me to say we should leave. She felt the negative energy, his coldness, and I didn't want to support a business like this, with this rude, possibly racist attitude, but I hushed her and we waited...we needed the photos asap.
The owner came to the cash, tended to the man with the children, while making small talk...
They left and he said "who's first"
He took their photos and walked to the back to print them. He did not ask like every photographer does "What do you think"? "Is this okay"? ,,,,nothing!
I asked him, how come you didn't ask if I was okay with the photos. He said, "oh we never do"!
I took the photos and left...not even a thank you.
The stale, crisp, dry "we don't want your business, but we will take your money" energy.
He should put a sign out front "Whites Only"
We will never set foot in that business again and will tell every colored person of our experience there.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this service. I went to have me and my son's passport photos. I hoped the owner would be welcoming and nice to his customers, but no he was totally the opposite.
I didn't go to Shoppers so I could have my time at the Professional photo shop and decide which pic to be printed among several digital shots should have been taken in the session. But, the owner took only one shot for each of us and didn't even show us before printing them. When I told him I am not satisfied with my pic at all, he answered it is perfect for passport without even trying to solve my concern.
I am really upset and I definitely don't recommend this place.
Hopefully he would try to at least smile to his customers, so he won't lose them forever.?
Noteing that the lady working there is very nice and I felt that she was eager to help us if she was able to.

Every year I make photo calendars for family members using Shutterfly. They offer a 50% discount at Christmas but their shipping cost amounts to the price of another calendar. That being said, they do use heavy card-stock and the quality of their product is outstanding!

This year, due to COVID having hurt our local economy, I thought I would save the shipping costs and support local, so I opted to try Foto Source in Caledonia. I gathered all my photos and logged in to their website to create two wall calendars. One for me, and one for my brother and family. The website is very limited as to background options, embellishments and styles. There are limited instructions on how to use the program and you cannot reduce the size of photos to fit in their pre-formatted pages. Not very user-friendly at all compared to Shutterfly.

After two hours of manipulating files and struggling with content creation, I placed the two calendars I had made in the cart and sent the order for processing. A few days later I received an email to say my order was ready.

The store is a 60km round-trip drive (one hour) from my home but I was excited to see the finished product. I took the calendars to my car to see how they turned out. The cardstock used was much lighter than what I was accustomed to, but acceptable. The overall quality of the calendars was reasonable. However, when I inspected both calendars, I noticed the December page, including photo, had been printed on both my brother's calendar as well as the one I had created for myself. This was not how I had ordered them. It was obviously an oversight by the printer and my brother's calendar was not acceptable as a gift.

I brought this to the attention of the proprietor who told me he would reprint the calendar and it would be ready the next day. I explained that I had made a special trip to pick this order up and his response was "Well, we don't do 'while you wait' ". He told me to get the calendar "next time you are in town", totally ignoring the fact that I said it was a "special trip" and that I am never normally in Caledonia during business hours. It would require another "special trip" on my part.

Two days later I drove the 60km round trip once again to pick up my calendar. He apologized for the inconvenience (as he should) but offered no goodwill gesture such as a discount, voucher for future purchases or any other compensation for the extra expense and time I spent as a result of his error. An apology doesn't put gas in my car or give me that hour's drive time back. You only have one chance to make a good first impression as a business owner. I will never go back.

So, whatever money I saved in shipping costs by shopping locally, I spent on gas by driving 120km unnecessarily.

From now on I will use Shutterfly. User-friendly website, better quality calendar and more reliable service. At least if they make an error, they don't expect me to pay for it. Shame on you Foto Source!
