Lou is exceptional! From the moment we saw her pictures, we knew she had to be our photographer. Neither my husband or I like having pictures taken, yet Lou put as right at ease and captured our day perfectly. We couldn't have asked for more. From our first meeting we felt very comfortable and knew she would fit in on our wedding day. Her pictures capture joy and love without being posed and she has an amazing eye for shots you never see coming.

My husband and I were in awe of our sneak peaks and again with our gallery when it came through. We love every picture Lou gave us and looking at them together brings back to all the emotions we felt on our day every time.

We can't thank Lou enough, and cannot recommend her highly enough. She is fantastic and we hope to work with her again for special occasions.

My (now-husband!) and I hired Lou to be our wedding photographer, and we could not be more delighted with the decision. Right from the get-go she was a bubbly and bright font of information and excitement, and we knew she was the right fit. I’m not sure how to start this review, other than if you haven’t booked your wedding photographer, you need to book Lou right now.

I came across Lou when researching our celebrant, and knew instantly we would click and that we had to have her photograph our micro wedding on the banks of Loch Lomond.

Lou is one of the most incredible suppliers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and will now call her a life long friend. Lou made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease, and captured small details that I didn’t even think about (and this is just in our first looks).

If you’re after someone who will photograph the authentic couple that you are, have fun with, laugh with and want documentary style photographs, book Lou now.

We also had a pre-wedding shoot with Lou, and this helped massively to calm nerves as we don’t really like being photographed. She will put you at ease, laugh about anything and everything and really capture the essence of your couple / family.

Our wedding photographer was the first vendor we looked for after booking our venue, as we knew it was vitally important to find the right one. We were looking for someone queer-friendly, with a lively, warm, documentary-style portfolio, who would get along with us and fit in with our guests. We are not the most camera-confident couple and also didn't have a lot of family at the wedding, so weren't looking for posed portraits, rather plenty of authentic candid moments. Lou absolutely fit the bill, and beyond! Her photos are colourful and vibrant and we could tell that all the subjects in them were relaxed and comfortable in front of her camera - this was a major deciding factor. From our initial zoom meeting she was energetic, passionate, friendly and supportive, and as excited about our wedding as we were (probably because we promised her goats)!

We checked in with Lou throughout our planning process and she was always friendly and helpful and on our side, offering advice and experience of the industry and reassuring us that we weren't mad to question certain things with the venue. We had another zoom two weeks before the day, which felt like a catch-up with an old friend, and by the wedding day she felt as much a guest as anyone.

Lou arrived early enough to capture both of us getting ready, detail shots, and then a first look - we'd kept our outfits secret so this was a big, emotional moment - and then stayed with us through the ceremony, reception, and into the evening. It was wonderful to have her (and her infectious smile and brilliant energy!) there for such a long time and to capture the whole experience, and she was so good at keeping us calm, organising guests, and talking to everyone.

We were promised "a few sneak peeks", in the "next few days" after the wedding - and we received about 70 photos the very next day! This was absolutely incredible and the pictures are so stunning, we can't stop looking at them.

Can't wait to receive our full gallery - we already know that there will be tears again! Thank you so much, Lou, for all your hard work! I would recommend Lou to anyone looking for a photographer, and would absolutely book with her again if we find ourselves in Scotland.

Lou was our wedding photographer and is an absolute DELIGHT. Right from our first point of contact she put us at ease, was professional, friendly and so approachable. Our pre wed photoshoot produced fabulous pictures despite a dreich Edinburgh day and our wedding photos are simply gorgeous, authentic, not fussy and exactly what we wanted.
She worked fabulously with all the other vendors and not only did we love her but the guests and particularly the venue all thought she was amazing too.
She really is fantastic at her job, I would absolutely love to use Lou again in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone else in need of a photographer to use her too.

Lou was the photographer for our wedding in November 2024 and we absolutely couldn’t be happier with everything. From the warm and friendly opening chat, to the delightful welcome pack, to the quality of the photos everything was perfect. The thing I want to comment on most though is what a wonderful part of our day Lou was. Your photographer is someone you spend considerable time with on your wedding day and we had such a brilliant time. The playful and joyous energy Lou brought permeated through into our day itself and eventually the photos. We have had many guests since comment on what great fun Lou brought, and also how much they like the photos of course!

What can we say, Lou was a total joy to work with from start to finish! We met her over zoom and instantly knew she got the vibe of our wedding and was genuinely excited to shoot it.
