I’m quite dissatisfied with the work we received.

We had our baby’s newborn photoshoot this month when she was 5 weeks old. Unfortunately, the photos turned out to be unprofessional and lacked the creativity I had hoped for. The setup was basic, and it felt like the photographers were simply going through the motions. For instance, my baby was dressed in a purple frock paired with a green handband—an outfit that clearly didn’t match. This made me feel like they lacked a solid understanding of newborn photography.

I had specifically shared with Rama’s wife that the purpose of the shoot was to capture a beautiful, professional portrait of my newborn to display in our new home—a dream of mine since I first bought the house and learned I was pregnant. I was really hoping for photos that would be special, but none of them felt professional or meaningful.

While I understand that some shots, like the wrapped photos, weren’t possible due to my baby’s lack of cooperation, I would have expected the photographer to find an alternative. For example, they could have creatively wrapped the baby around the waist or taken cute shots in other poses. I was also disappointed by the lack of detail shots—close-ups of her hands, feet, and face, which are essential for a newborn shoot. These were completely missing.

One photo in particular was especially concerning. It shows my baby as if she’s swinging in a cloth swing (I've attached the photo here for reference). From that angle, it doesn’t even appear that she's in a swing—it's hard to tell what’s going on. This image alone should give you an idea of the quality of the work.

Another issue was with the raw photos. While it's nice they provided all the images, many were poorly composed. Some had photobombing from Rama’s wife, and others had hands or random objects in the frame. There’s even one random photo of just a chair. At the very least, they should have filtered out such shots before presenting them.

Ultimately, I don’t feel the shoot was worth the money. I would have preferred to spend the same amount with a different photographer who, even if they didn’t provide all raw images, would have taken the time to capture the best memories of my baby. Now, my baby will never be 5 weeks old again, and I feel like this opportunity was missed.

RKFotoGrafix was amazing to work with! Raman & his wife are such a wonderful couple. Our plan was to have a beach photoshoot at sunset today, Friday the 20th, but it’ll be raining all day! I’m lucky they were able to reschedule to an earlier date, Wednesday the 18th. So very accommodating! The date we rescheduled to turned out to be the perfect day, at the perfect place!

Throughout the shoot, I felt very comfortable, everything felt natural. Raman was great at directing our angles and made great suggestions for poses and expressions.

I’m so happy with the photos I was shown! To top it all off, RKFoto was able to send me an edited picture from our shoot already! I love it so much and can’t wait to see the rest! I love the dramatic vibrancy of the colours - we had a vision and they nailed it!!!
