Out of this world restaurant with lots of love poured into each dish that makes you feel so satisfied and feels light after eating! Highly recommend everyone to try and taste authentic Indian food with hand made decorations and loving ambience! Freshness of food is unbeatable! Wish could give not 5 but 10 stars!

Some friends of mine recommended this place so decided to give it try.

Let me start with the good. The decor inside is traditional Indian village vibe tastefully done so kudos to the management. Yes some of the dishes do take a while but we were given enough of a heads up about that by the person who took our reservation and when we got to the restaurant. Service is very good and the owner and staff are very attentive they talked to about the dishes the origins and the process of creating it which was interesting and insightful.

I would highly recommend the tandoori chicken and the Dal Bhati it was simply sublime. The tandoori chicken is probably in my top three I have ever had . Best thing about is that there was zero food coloring used and there was no overwhelming heat to it…perfection just the way it was. Will go back for it.

Now the rest of the food yes I am guilty of ordering a lot but I like to take in flavors get a feel for the place and yes there are some really good and some just mediocre dishes . Overall the experience was pleasant and this is a solid restaurant which does need a visit by everyone.

A lot of our friends had recommended this place and hence we tried it today. Food was delicious and everything was made from scratch, including the spices. That really made a huge difference to the taste. Very authentic. Portions were good size. Ambience was really nice. It was a light day and hence we got a chance to meet Ruby herself. Will definitely go back.

CAUTION: Come here with the intention of enjoying authentic freshly cooked proper Indian meal.
They do have combo meals or corporate thalis, but if you're someone who wants to really enjoy authentic Desi khaana, baitho shaanti se... Itminaan rakhein, aur prem poorvak bane zaikedaar khaane ka lutf uthaayein...
Waah Saag! And the Makka roti OMG humongous. The portions and pricing are just really well balanced and more than generous and fair.
Sanjay ji and Ruby ji what a pleasure for us to have been there today and enjoyed the pleasure of your quaint and warm welcoming home of delicious delectable droolsome ? worthy Indian cuisine.
Our order was Chola Bhature, Paneer Pakora, Sarso ka Saag Makke ka roti, Dal Baati Churma, Khasta Kachori with Dum Aloo.
I'm so glad that food was prepared from scratch. And the efforts of making Makka roti... I know!! Being someone who loves cooking and appreciates good food when one serves with such genuine care, love and warmth... the taste of it increases many times over... Once again thank you to our lovely hosts Sanjay ji and Ruby ji. Like I said, pet toh bhar gaya, Mann nahi bhara...

(I was suprised to know, no chillies in the food prep, so super rare... And to soak in the atmosphere as lovely Bollywood new and old songs belting in the background... Perfect setting)

Our visit to the restaurant was satisfactory. This was our second time trying this place, as our previous experience had been below average due to poor service and food quality. However, we decided to give it another chance. We particularly enjoy the daal batti and chhole bhatura dishes offered here. We also tried their Kala Chana and Almond soup, which had a unique taste and presentation compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. The restaurant offers a decent variety of food options. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow. It took a considerable amount of time, approximately 65 minutes, for our soup and appetizers to arrive. When we ordered the daal batti, we were informed that it would take 45 minutes, but it actually took 75-80 minutes, which was twice the expected time. Throughout the wait, the server or waiter seemed unaware of the reasons for the delay. Considering the late food delivery and below average service, I would recommend opting for takeout instead of dining in and save some $$ from added gratuity. Additionally, some of the prices seem excessive compared to the quality of the food served.

This is one of those places which you will not come across unless you are actually looking for it. With you being on this page makes me realize that you were indeed looking :). The ambience is amazing and the food tastes excellent. If you are craving north indian dishes and want a slightly different experience to being on oak tree road then definitely give it a go. It is also a BYOB for those who are interested. Beware that the wait times for getting certain dishes are sometimes really long (they let you know though) and as mentioned by others charging gratuity for even a party of 2 is uncommon. There is plenty of street parking by the restaurant. Food is definitely delicious and ambience fantastic. What are you waiting for? Go eat already

Ruby Ke Kitchen Se: A Restaurant to Avoid

I was really disappointed with my experience at Ruby Ke Kitchen Se. The service was super slow, the food took forever to come out despite ordering 3 hours ahead of time.

We ordered Batti, Chapli Kabab, Paneer Tikka, Paneer Pakoda, Shahi Paneer, Palak Paneer, Assorted Naan, Dhaba Dal and it took over 1 hr to arrive. When it finally did, it was little warm and appetizers were just dry. After waiting for so long, we found a hair in the dish, which was really gross.

The service was also very slow. They suggest you to order ahead of time and then we had to wait even longer for our food to come out. The waiter was also very rude, and she didn't seem to care about our experience. Even to get raw onion, it took 20 min so we decided to take by ourselves from buffet counter since our food was getting cold.

Only good experience we had was ambience, nicely decorated interior.

Overall, I would not recommend Ruby Ke Kitchen Se to anyone. I would much rather go to a different restaurant that actually cares about its customers and experience.

We recently visited "Ruby ke Kitchen se" and were thoroughly impressed. It's located away from the more popular Oaktree Road in Edison, giving it an unique charm that makes the experience even more special.

The food was exceptional. The kofta curry stood out with its perfectly balanced flavors, the aloo methi was fresh and authentic, and the karhi pakoda had a depth of taste that felt both familiar and comforting.

The kachodi, though, deserve a special mention. Made entirely from scratch in-house, they were crisp, flaky, and filled with a perfectly spiced mixture. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into their preparation, and the result speaks for itself.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian food in a peaceful setting, "Ruby ke Kichen se" is a place worth visiting. It’s not often you find such quality tucked away like this.
