Working with Sand and Stone for our wedding was an absolute dream. It all started with our first phone call with Ben and Courtney. They seemed like the most chill people out there, and we truly enjoyed getting to know them, their work, and their lifestyle during our hour-long chat. From that moment on, we knew we had to book them—it was an instant, no-brainer decision for us. They checked all our boxes, and ultimately, they were just good people who had mastered their craft and loved what they do.

With the package we chose, we had a complimentary engagement shoot. It was such a joy spending time with them and getting to know them even better. They knew exactly how to make sure we felt comfortable in front of the camera. After that, we had a few check-ins before the big day, which was incredibly helpful in ensuring that we captured all the important moments.

On the day of our wedding, we had Courtney and Audra shooting. It was such a blast having their energy flow throughout the venue as they easily chatted with our family members, friends, wedding party, and kids. When we received our whopping load of photos (over 800, with film photos on top of that!), we could barely pick our jaws up off the floor!

We cannot thank these kind folks enough for all the hard work, dedication, and beauty they put into their art for people day in and day out. It was a privilege to have them capture these amazing milestones in our lives, and we are so grateful to call them friends beyond this. Thank you, Sand and Stone!

Courtney and Ben are the sweetest people! Courtney was our wedding photographer and Ben was the videographer. They both did an amazing job. I couldn’t have asked for better photos or a more perfect video that captured both the day and our personalities more perfectly. My husband and I decided to have a secret pandemic elopement which meant finding the perfect photographer and videographer was extremely important to us. Once we announced it to our friends and family, we wanted to guarantee we had high quality photos and videos. With Ben and Courtney (Sand and Stone Media), we got all of that and more! Ben and Courtney are extremely easy going and feel like long time friends even though you just met. They made our day go smoothly and we appreciated their loving energy. We can't say enough good things about Ben and Courtney (Sand and Stone Media). We hired them for elopement photos and videos and were more than satisfied with the results. If you're on the fence about getting a video made, SERIOUSLY just do it!!! I'm so glad we decided to go for it because we got to re-live the moment every time we watched it with friends and family. We got 3 separate videos: two were for social media and the last was longer which included our vows. Ben and Courtney are both super cool and easy going. Like, we would totally just hang out with them.

Courtney was a perfect photographer for our wedding!
Firstly, she was super easy to work with from the beginning - communicative, and flexible to work with us on what we wanted.
Secondly, it was a really small and intimate wedding; but despite being the only person there who wasn't immediate family, Courtney blended right in, and made everyone feel super comfortable and natural around the camera.
And finally, most importantly, the photos are amazing! She captured so many great moments - very few of the photos were posed (except the ones we wanted), so they capture real moments, AND somehow everyone still looks great in them! She also did an amazing job at incorporating the natural setting (a redwood forest) into the photos, which was important to us. She really captured the feel of the whole day even better than we'd hoped.
We are so happy that we chose Sand and Stone for our wedding - definitely recommend!
