Soooo terrible experience in this pharmacy. The staff should learn first, what is customer service means. We went there around 8:45pm today and they told us to wait 30 minutes for a prefilled insulin pen which is really need for my pregnant wife tomorrow morning. They forced us to wait for long again and again , then 9.55pm they informed me that, they have only another brand of insulin which is not covered in my insurance… they would have been inform me earlier if they have different brand so I can grab from other pharmacy before that closed. I asked her about the insurance when I dropped the prescription but she said “all good”.

We felt that those two ladies avoided us (my pregnant wife and son) purposefully and not even consider we are waiting more than an hour. They were hurry to close rather than fix our concerns… Overall Such a disgusting experience with zero knowledge pharmacists…

I don’t have no star option

Pharmacy Review - Dropped off my prescription at the counter told it would be ready in 1 hour.

When I returned well over an hour later, the pharmacist told me the prescription was never filled…

Terrible organization/ customer service at this location, I’ll be going to the West Leduc Shoppers Drug mart instead now going forward.

As a professional I am disgusted, and disappointed of how Shoppers Drug Mart is allowing a Pharmacist/ Owner, Adefolaka Adeniji to move to ownership of a Pharmacy that has been known to Canadians for decades.

This young lady did a practicum (100 hours) for a Pharmacy Assistant in her pharmacy. She enjoyed her hard working journey in Adefolaka’s Pharmacy. I observed the care and attention to detail that myself and other customers experienced and appreciated. She liked it so much that she was hoping to become hired so that she could continue working hard and assisting customers and helping staff. When she completed her 100 hours , she was told by Adefolka that she did not have enough experience when applying for a full time position. I am not sure what level of experience she was looking for but I can say she was more than qualified and would gain more experience to provide this locations customers with quality customer service. After being told she lacked experience she felt frustrated and devastated.

A few weeks later, this young lady returned with her resume, hoping that a second time would increase her opportunity. As time passed, Adefolka emailed her alerting her that an Indeed post went up and that she can apply. Immediately this young lady applied and emailed Adefolka back to let her know that she did in fact apply. Weeks went by and no communication at all. The owner did reach out to her asking for identification and references , in which this girl emailed her immediately with the required documents.( thinking that she was going to be hired as most times when references are asked for, that usually is the process). No reference was contacted. Adefolka went as far as sending her a Shoppers Drug Mart link for security information ( standard for the hiring process). Again, a month went by and this girl followed up with calls and emails to Adefolka . She was curious to know where she stood in the hiring process. There was no return emails from Adefolka. No communication. After a month she finally reached her on the telephone and she inquired about her unanswered questions. Adefolka told her that the advertisement was taken down and my daughter’s information was lost !!!! This information did not sit with all of us as she was devastated. She put her heart and soul into this Shoppers Drug Mart in Leduc. Adefolka asked her to reapply and my daughter did . But , after she called again ( weeks later ) it didn’t end so well as Adefolka hung the telephone up on her as my she explained her current frustration of trying to understand where she was in the process.
Going through the search process for a new career of your choice is exciting. You put trust in the process and understand that not every job you apply for you are going to receive, however observing the complete lack of communication through this recent experience puts doubt in your mind and you question your career choice.

The treatment she received is completely unprofessional.

Their pharmacy department is such a joke. I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with them like I could write a novel here outlining the multiple incompetencies I’ve experienced. Ill be transferring to a new pharmacy shortly and I would suggest anyone else to do them same. Just so disappointing.

Customer service was great! The till was down so the lady ran through our order at self checkout and packed it for us. Usually if this were to happen they would just make us do it but she was super helpful and it was appreciated as my allergies were acting up really bad.

This shoppers pharmacy is the worst! They tell you over the phone yiur prescription is ready or you call them and ask them to fill it then go in hrs after the time they give you and they haven't even started it! This has been a issue for many people I know.
Will be switching pharmacies ASAP this happens every time!

When I arrived at the pharmacy there was already someone in line. She looked as though she had been waiting a while. After quite some time and a lineup forming, one of the two people behind the counter finally started helping customers. The hospital faxed over time sensitive pain meds so that I could pick them up on time for the next dose and when it was my turn, I was told it wasn't ready. The pharmacist then tried telling me they had only recieved the fax a half hour prior to my arrival and to prove her point she circled the time. It had actually been sent over an hour and 15 minutes ahead of time. I promptly left and went and got the prescription filled at the Safeway next door. I did not appreciate the extra stress of the medication not being ready on what was already a stressful day. Save yourself the trouble and horrible customer service and go elsewhere.
